Our Vision

Resilient and Prepared Rural Communities throughout
New Zealand

The Farmers Adverse Events Trust supports building resilience to adverse events in our rural communities. Resilience is the key to reducing the impact on our people, animals, infrastructure, and the wider economy.

To build resilience effectively we need to plan ahead and be ready.

Empowering our farmers, growers and the rural community to be prepared for their own situation is essential, we want to be part of your journey.

ABOUT FARMERS ADVERSE EVENTS TRUST

We are a charitable trust originally registered in 1998 as the Adverse Events Trust. In 2017 we broadened our objectives to enable us to provide relief to all farmers, farming families, and rural communities who have been subjected to suffering or loss as a consequence of adverse events.

These new and updated objectives better reflect what we do and those we assist.

WORKING IN PARTNERSHIP

The Farmers Adverse Event Trust works to develop partnerships with like-minded organisations. We recognise partnerships are some of our most important assets. The relationships we have built and maintained, some spanning decades, allows us to extend our reach.
